- Geoffrey Chambers, co-founder of RailTerm, is a seasoned executive with substantial experience developing and managing service businesses in the transportation industry. Previously he founded the Cygnus Group and was also the co-founder of short-line rail operator Genesee Rail-One (now Genesee & Wyoming Canada). Geoff has been active politically and has represented numerous industry groups, including serving on the executive committee of the Canadian Railway Club. He is a graduate of Oxford University (BA, MA).

- Rob Wheeler, co-founder of RailTerm, has also worked extensively in the air, road and rail service sectors. He joined the Cygnus Group in Montreal in 1990 and co-founded short-line rail operator Genesee Rail-One in 1997. Prior to joining Cygnus, he worked as a security analyst for Fidelity Management & Research and as a corporate finance analyst at PaineWebber in Boston. A Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), he is a graduate of Harvard College (BA) and The Wharton School (MBA).
- François Prénovost

- François Prénovost is responsible for the general management and corporate development of RailTerm. He first began working with Geoff and Rob at Cygnus in 1994. He helped to start-up both RailTerm and Genesee Rail-One, and then managed each of their administrative and accounting operations. Prior to joining Cygnus, François worked at communications expert Quebecor and Sunds Defibrator, a pulp and paper equipment manufacturer. He graduated from University of Quebec in Montreal (BA Management Accounting) and is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).
